Latvijas Banka's collector coin "Riga Fashion", issued in 2023, has secured the top prize in the category "Most Artistic Coin" in the largest international coin competition Coin of the Year Awards (COTY). The graphic design of the coin has been created by fashion illustrator Alīna Grīnpauka.

Ligita Franckeviča, the author of many plaster models of Latvijas Banka's coins, has received a Lifetime Achievement Award in coin art. This is the first time in history that someone from Latvia has been honoured with such an award.

This year, six coins issued by Latvijas Banka were among the top 10 finalists in various categories for coins issued in 2023.
